CATERING SUPERVISOR Reports to: Asst. Manager- Catering Working hours: 10 Hours per day/ 6 days a week (should be able to work in night shift) Salary: QAR 3000/- per month (Basic: 2500/- + Overtime allowance: 500/-) Age: 30 – 45 yrs. Gender: Male Nationality: Indian __________________________ Job description: • The supervision of staff and allocation of duties • Prepare menus and food within the guidelines issued. • Carry out basic training for the staff as per the training material provided by the management. • The checking of all food received (along with the storekeeper), quantities of ingredients used and the number of meals produced and served • Carry out all clerical duties as required • Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, its equipment and surroundings • Ensure the grooming standard of the kitchen staff • Ensure the Food Hygiene and Health and Safety Regulations are adhered to at all times • Updating the ISO & HACCP documents maintained in the kitchen • Report any accidents in the kitchen • Report faults in equipment and request necessary day to day maintenance of premises • Report/ request any vehicle maintenance required • Ensure that all staff work the required hours and that the correct break periods are observed. • Preparation of monthly time-sheets • Signing-off the Purchase requests from the store • Preparation of the LPG request • Preparation of the Purchase request for kitchen equipment • Preparation of the office stationery request • Preparation of Uniform request • Menu planning and recipe modifications • Maintain proper stock level of all catering equipment • Maintain proper stock level of all food and non- food commodities used in the operation • Liaising with the client camp representatives • Updating the Service Record documents on a daily basis • Scheduling the delivery Vehicles & drivers • Initiating disciplinary action where required • Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job Minimum Qualifications & experience: 1. 10 +2 years of academic qualification (minimum) 2. Minimum of 03 years of experience in industrial catering segment in Middle east Asia as a Catering supervisor 3. Minimum of 03 years’ experience in the same role (in India or abroad). Should have good practical knowledge of volume cooking and basic knowledge of Filipino and Continental cuisines 4. Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills. 5. Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral format (In Hindi & English). 6. Knowledge of food preparation, presentation and customer service 7. Working knowledge of HACCP 8. Basic computer skills (MS-office & MS-Excel, receiving and sending e-mails).
